Leather and a Jumper

Ensemble
Jumper: H&M
Leather Vest: H&M
Shoes: TJ Maxx
Earrings: Vendor @ Fashion Show

I bought this Jumper from my H&M shopping spree in December, and this vest a few years back when I was in Atlantic City. I love this vest, it is one of my favorite wardrobe pieces. I've also decided to step up my shoe game, by buying more creative shoes. I found these pair for a great price at TJ Maxx in Morgantown, West Virgina (while I was there for my training), and scooped them. Of course I wore them the very next day, and now they are in a box full of stuff being shipped back to my apartment in Houston because I didn't have enough room for all the stuff I bought in my suitcase! Haha. Oh well, what can I say?

Also while shopping in H&M back in Pittsburgh, I spotted this fabulous, stylish girl at the cash register in front of me. I asked her if I could take her picture to show off her style to my blog followers! I loved her look!

Reminder: I will be launching my 2nd Giveaway this week, so make sure you come back to read my posts to enter!

Luv,

Inspired by Grandma

Ensemble:
Hat: Belonged to my Late Grandmother
T-Shirt: Express
Necklace: NY&Co
Maxi Skirt: H&M

My grandmother (on my mom's side) passed away in January of this year, so her loss is pretty relevant in my family's life right now and it's been very hard for us the last couple of months. We miss her so much! When I came home to Pittsburgh, my Mom had a whole bunch of her hats (because we are going through all of her stuff), and I fell in love with this hat! It was so my Grandma! She always wore hats, to church or special events. She was born in 1931, so I'm sure this hats has some history. It also reminded me of the hats that I blogged about in my Vintage Decade: 1930s post, so I definitely wanted to feature it! My sister's fiancee actually suggested that I put some of the photos in black and white, and I thought it was a really great idea!

And check out this video I found on Alina's My Silk Fairytale Blog. She found the video on youtube. I love it! This girl did such a good job showing us the different ways to wear a scarf, and the video is fun and artistic to watch! I'll never be bored when it comes to wearing scarves now!

MODCLOTH PART II

Ensemble:
Dress: Modcloth.com

OTK Socks: Halloween Costume Store
Pumps: Connie (Famous Footwear)

This was my first purchase from modcloth I made being inspired by Jessica of What IWore. I love this dress and this is my second time wearing it, and it will probably show up again in this blog! I first featured it here. As you can tell I've gained a little weight back with all of the drama that's been going on my life, but the dress still fits!! Haha. I'm back on my workout regime so this extra 7 lbs will go away quickly I hope!!

Singing in the Rain

Ensemble
Umbrella: My Mom's
Sheer top: Express
Tank top: Express
Necklace, Bracelet, Earrings: New York & Company
Pants: Circa 100 years ago and don't know where I got them from
Flip Flops: J. Crew

Still on the all black! Haha.  A little bit different from my "From White to Black" outfit. One I'm now in Pittsburgh, PA, instead of Houston, TX visiting with my family, and the weather here is very different from Texas. Though it's warm in the mid-day, the mornings and evenings are still a little cool, and yesterday I was greated with rains after my flight.  But I still wanted to take outdoor pictures anyway, so I borrowed my moms big golf umbrella for the photo shoot. My sister actually took these pics for me! It's so nice to have a Human taking the pics versus my tripod photographer! It wasn't raining that hard when I took these pics so you can't really see the rain in the pictures. It's so nice to be home. As much as I love life in Houston, nothing beats being around family!

Also, do you guys remember the "Featuring My Mother" Post I did for her for Mother's Day. Well I decided to print that off as a book and give it to her, so she could always have the memory of this album.  It came out really well! I ordered through Blog2Print. You get to add different features to your book: tribute page, table of contents, additional pictures, or additional pages of you own. You can also print it with comments!!

I did standard delivery and they said it wouldn't arrive until May 31st, but it actually got here yesterday on the 13th! Way faster than anticipated, and I had it shipped to her house, so I was here to see it when it arrived. I'm thinking of one day printing my entire blog, but for now I'll just stick with printing significant posts. Also before I decided to do this for my mom I had already bought her the following Mother's Day presents from the Houston International Festival.

I also wanted to give a huge thanks to all of you! Rather you are my regular commenters, or passerbyers, or just readers of the blog, I truly appreciate each and every one of you!!

Luv,

From White to Black

Ensemble:
Tank: Express
Necklace, Earrings, Bracelet: New York & Company
Ruffle Shorts: Express
Pumps: Target
Eyeshadow: Sephora
Have you noticed my transition over my last few outfit posts? I started off with an all white ensemble for the Bloggers Do It Better Challenge. Then I went to an all white ensemble with a pop of black in the shoes, then I went to a complete black and white yesterday, to an all black ensemble today. Of course in retrospect I did none of this on purpose but I think it's cool that my outfits turned out that way. In my Blogger Inspirations posts, I mentioned that at first I hated the whole ruffled, skort-short thing until I tried on this pair from Express. They are so cute and I absolutely fell in love with them. I bought this black pair and a navy print pair that will soon make it's debut into a blog post also! You can also tell that I've been playing with my Sephora Makeup Kit. I love this turquoise and blue eyeshadows I used for the outfit today. And who knew? Eye primer really does help keep eye shadow on!
I've also been coveting these multicolor jewelry pieces from New York & Company for months now, so finally this weekend with my NY&C City Cash I bought 4 pieces from this collection. The 4th is another pair of earrings not shown in this post. I could have worn any color shirt with these skorts, but I really wanted the jewelry to stand out so I went all black!

Also, about a week and a half ago I was the winner of Fatale Fashion's Tru.Che Giveaway. I was so excited! I've been having a real winning streak with this giveaway stuff, and today my prize arrived in the mail. The packaging was so cute!

What a great pair of earrings, and so neutral that they'll go with anything! I love Tru.Che's jewelry and plan on ordering an "I heart Texas Necklace" (below) from her very soon. It's so funny because I'm not even from Texas originally, but I rep this state like I am!
