Nocona Boots

Ensemble:
Pants: NY&Co
Boots: Nocona Brand (Cavender's Boot City)
Vest: NY&Co
Tank: Express
Bracelet: Gift
Necklace: Gift

Before I wear my new "Cowgirl" boots to the rodeo for hours on end, I needed to break them in. What better way to break in a new pair of shoes than at work? At least at my job, where I have the option to sit every now and then being in an office environment. Breaking in shoes in an environment that is standing only, leads to sore footsies later!! Anyway, I really love these boots and I wanted to wear this vest with them..so I did. I'm not too happy with the pants, as they are my old pants and are way too big for me now, but I tried to still make it work, with a "Wide Leg Pants" affect?? I don't know if I achieved it too well...lolol

ModCloth

Ensemble:
Dress:  Op Art Enthusiast Dress Modcloth (On Sale Now for $21.99)
Sandals: Chinese Laundry DSW
Headband: Don't Remember

I love to follow other fashion blogs. Some of my outfits are inspired by others' outfit choices. There is no harm in sharing the love of fashion and creativity with others. I follow Jessica Quirk's "What I Wore" blog on tumblr, and she's always noting pieces pieces from modcloth.com. I liked the outfits that featured dresses from modcloth, so I decided to check out their website.  If you are into vintage clothing, this website is DEFINITELY for you.  I tend to not wear that many vintage pieces, but I do like them, therefore I ordered a dress from them to test it out for myself, and VIOLA! Here is the dress I ordered.  It's called Op Art Enthusiast Dress. When I bought it, it was not on sale :-(, but it's on sale now for anyone who really likes it, I included the link above.

I absolutely love this dress. It's comfortable, and flattering to my figure.  I will definitely order more dresses from them. As a side note they sell more than just dresses,...accessories, shoes, tops, bottoms, etc. everything.

http://www.modcloth.com/ - Right now they are having their "Cabin Fever" Sale with items up to 70% off.

House of Blues

Ensemble:
Booties: Payless
Skirt: Express
Tank: Express
Lace Tank: Express
Necklace: NY&Co

Tonight I went with friends to House of Blues Houston to see a tribute to Prince. It was a very last minute decision so I had to put together an outfit quick. Hence the all black ensemble. I don't have to think about matching black with black. I was just going to wear the under tank with the skirt, but last minuted I decided to add the lace tank on top. I really like how the outfit came out.

World Championship BBQ Cook-Off - Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

Ensemble:
Shirt: Target
Boots: Colin Stuart (Victoria Secret)
Hat: Target
Belt: Don't remeber
Vest: H&M

Yee-Haw! Well folks, it's that time of year again! Time for the annual Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. If you've been following me since last February, you might remember my posts and outfits from the Rodeo 2010?
City Cowgirl

Well anyway I'm having just as much fun dressing up for rodeo events this year too!  The actual rodeo doesn't kick-off until March 1st, but the Annual BBQ Cook-Off started on Thursday, February 24th. Last night I attended the BBQ and had some amazing food! It was so much fun. The weather was perfect. After stuffing our faces, we walked around the Carnival part of the rodeo, and tried to win some games.  Expect more blogs on the rodeo, as I'll be attending a lot in March!

Business Shorts

Ensemble:
Shorts: Charlotte Russe
Pumps: Payless
Blazer: Charlotte Russe
Lace Camisole: Charlotte Russe
Handbag: NY&Co

I am so milking this 75+ degree weather for all it's worth! So I definitely wanted to wear shorts last night for my friends Birthday Celebration. We went to this great latin restaurant in Houston's Warehouse District.  I actually just bought the handbag yesterday, but the rest of the items I've had for years!! I haven't been able to fit into these shorts for a long time, and actually they were too big for me so I had to wear a belt. It's a great feeling to have clothes that are "too big" for you versus "too small". It's hard to tell in these pictures, but the shorts and the blazer actually have 2 different patterns. The shorts are plaid and the blazer is black and white pinstripe, also the shoes are pinstripe.

Sunday

Ensemble:
Dress: Mossimo (Target)
Shoes: Nina (Macy's)
Belt: Don't Remember
Earrings: Charlotte Russe
Watch: Michael Kors (Macy's)

I love church, and I love dressing up for church! I actually need to go out and buy more dresses to wear on Sunday's. I'm also in the need for spring color pumps! They will also be on the next shopping spree list.  The weather down here is perfection. It's been in the 70s for a week. I hope it stays like this and we have no more cold fronts. From what I understand, once we get into March, the temperature should steadily climb. Now I love 75-85, but once it gets into the 90s and up, it's just a tad too warm, but I'll still take that over the northern winters! Next time I wear this dress I may try a red belt.  This dress is essentially a potato sack with no shape without the belt.

Birthday Part IV??

Ensemble:
Dress: Guess by Marciano
Bracelet: The Limited
Necklace: NY&Co
Shoes: Nine West
Flower: Flowers from Fatima (Etsy)

I will have more pictures to add to this post at a later date. A friend of mine took really great pictures on his fancier camera, so I'm waiting on him to send those to me. Anyway this is my birthday dress! I love it. It fits in all the right places, perfect length. I love the cut of the sleeves, they are romantic! I will definitely repeat this dress in the near future! haha For my actual birthday, we went to dinner at Carrabba's Italian Restaurant.
