And yet prices in the Australian Apple Store are still 25% higher than the USA Store. How rude, Apple.
Top end 27" iMac = US$1999, or in the Australian Store, AUD$2299 which at the current exchange rate is about US$2500. Why should we pay more, Apple? If anything, we're closer to China so should pay less on shipping!
Whilst it's slightly better than yesterdays prices, I'm still seriously not happy.
I'd buy one if we got the USA prices.

Bear in mind that the US prices do not include sales tax of any kind. In your case Australian prices include GST which I believe currently runs at 10%? If you're anything like the UK there may be additional import taxes to pay and the cost of doing business is likely to be higher (everything from shipping costs to salaries affect the price you pay at the checkout). Add in a margain that Apple will calculate to protect themselves from changes in the exchange rate and you'll probably be very close to price parity. Just as in the UK you're paying extra for the product because of the country, not because of Apple.
That's not to say Apple DON'T screw up on exchange rates and gouge the heck out of us non-Americans of course. The Mac Mini being the most recent, and painful, example. But you need to make sure you compare like for like before complaining.

Finally, still confused as to why there is no 7200RPM drive option for the 15".
I wanna order with a glossy screen but i'm scared i wont be able to return this if it has probless. Isnt glossy screen a BTO option?

What I said: Users of the 120M+ iOS devices are doing just fine without Flash plugins is completely true. There are no Flash plugins for this device. Nobody can run a shred of Flash content in their browser on this device.

The only thing nonsensical around here is your insistence that everything you say is correct and that no one else is allowed to have an opinion but you on a given subject.

Like I said three times now (and which you ignore, along with pretty much everything in my posts), this very thread and the sales thereof indicate a HUGE interest in being able to view Flash on iOS devices and no amount of BS nonsense on your part will change that fact. People get along without Flash until now because they had no choice (thanks to Steve). Your implication that people would return an iOS device based on just a single feature alone is ludicrous just like the logic in your posts in general. I've pointed out there is no equivalent of the iPod Touch from Android and therefore no reasonable alternative regardless of one's feelings about the inability to view Flash web sites. Instead of just acknowledging that not everyone likes Steve Jobs decision to not allow Flash (hardly an unreasonable opinion to have and clearly shared by everyone who bought this app to be able to view those sites), you just continue RANTING like a high school debate team student does just for ranting's sake. Nice to see the suite maturing like this. Pages 3 along with Charts will definitely make iWork 07 an improvement over the '06 version and a lot more solid of a suite in general.

Are people firing up their lawyers because Apple does not update their iPhone 3G that came with iOS 3 when they bought it in june 2010 ? Doesn't the licence flyer in the box say Apple will supply the current iOS version +1 ?
Yeahhhh... iPhone 4 came out in 2010. The 3G came out in June of 2008 and ran until June of 2009. Any purchases after June of 2009 was as the "cheap" last years iPhone model just like the 3GS. And since iOS did originally come on the device as 2.0 and then released updates until 4.2, that's more than covering their agreement of iOS +1.

does this still have lag/freezing issues?
I know when lion beta was first released it would lag and freeze a lot! also it was very unstable, 80% of the apps would crash constantly.

Parallels has been great, and I'm tolerating CrossOver. I'd just like CrossOver to be faster and more power, plus easier to use. Windows is one bicycle this fish doesn't need.

I've been teaching Mac courses at a local junior college, and have found that quite a few of my students are new/returning Mac users. I think Apple has quite a bit of potential to grow the Mac's market share, particularly from the latter group -- people who abandoned the Mac during the dark days of the '90s, but are now prepared to take another look. On the pro side, I believe market share will probably continue to stagnate for some months to come, until the mission-critical applications are all dual-binary. I think we could be optimistically be looking at 5.5 - 6.0% market share by this time next year, depending on how well the launch of 10.5 goes, and how much thunder is taken away by Vista.

How about if inspector sections could be 'torn off' and moved or docked below like in photoshop? There are certainly 2 or 3 sections that I would like open all the time.
