I didn't do that bad.... I did eliminate the Defense Budget all the way down to $100 B. If China is not starting a war, I don't see the reason to spend more than 6x what they spend.
Anywho, I did bump education and science budgets by a huge margin... college went from $5 B to $30 B, Science went up to $60 B... NASA has a nice $30 B.
I don't get why we spend more one Defense than Education. It is stupid.

I'll wait for the Media Centre Edition to ship - that's one of the "super secret" parts of OSX 10.5 that hasn't been shown.
Could you expand on this? What will the Media edition add to the pot? Thanks.

Every time engineers are trying to be clever they run the risk of messing things up. Taking the old iOS, removing it completely, and installing a completely new, fresh iOS is safe and risk free. Trying to be clever and replace only the right things risks messing up things and leaving a very, very, very unhappy customer.
But don't they manage patches with Mac OS X all the time... ? And Mac OS X has much more of the OS exposed and accessible to the user (more to be tinkered with).
I would just like smaller, incremental updates. To be honest I don't mind attaching the phone to the computer to backup before an update at all, it just seems sensible. Updating over 3G before backing up seems risky... unless the backup will happen as part of their 'iCloud' system perhaps?

Apple needs to get over their trip on Adobe and do what's best for their customers! As somebody who absolutely loves Apple and their products...I find some of their decisions very strange and frustrating.

I'd say that Verizon maybe blocking the update because they want to make sure that all hell doesn't break loose once it is released. It would be interesting to see what the justification is, maybe 5.0 will be the 'big change' for iOS on AT&T and Verizon phones? It'd be ironic if it's really Verizon that's iOS blocking. Or it's simply not worth Apple's effort to support only a miniscule number of customers with a minor upgrade.
yes, what's up with 666 MB... :(It's just a set of repeating numbers. Personally, I think it's awesome; if it was deliberate, it's a great indicator of their humor.

* Microsoft Windows 2008R2 SP1 is great.
* Microsoft App-V and Med-V both works amazing.
* Windows 7 isn't that bad either (though I HATE that glassy Windows look.)

I am curious as another poster said about the figures with this iPad2 sales. It is an expensive device with not much more to offer than the original. Also with Verizon selling the first gens for next to nothing it almost seems silly to buy the other. Just the other day went to Verizon and bought a second first gen for a family member where the faster processor and cameras are not a priority. I was thinking to myself at that moment and why is anyone waiting in line to get this same thing with rounded edges, faster processor, and 2 sub-par cameras? They also had the ipad2's in stock unsure what size since I did not really care but I played with one and it was neat but not $300 more neat than what I was going in to buy.

Seems like I recognize that place... even some of the boats... ;) Post more, if you have any. I'm always keen to see someone else's interpretation of a familiar place (at least to me...)
Here's one more. Having grown up there, I'm quite familiar with the place as well. I should see it as a challenge but the familiarity makes it a difficult place for me to photograph.

Anyways, I'm glad to be gay - some heterosexual couples I know seem to be living in a d/s relationship, not quite the kind of thing I'm interested in.
Oh, and of course it's a nice move by Apple :P

I was really hoping for an iPhone this summer, but my contract w/ another company runs until 11/30/11 anyway. It's going to be a pain dealing w/ this HTC Hero for the rest of the year, but if the iPhone 5 comes with LTE to be "future-proofed", so to speak, I'll be pretty happy to wait. Having to wait until 2012, though, will be painful. Hopefully it's a fall release to rev up for the holidays.

Just installed the update on a week 39 MB. So far so good.
However, iStat Nano (the latest one from today) can't read the temp. It's got a new 'Fans' setting, but no joy there either.
FanControl and CoreDuoTemp finally agree, however, on the temperature. Previously CoreDuoTemp showed the temp at boot-up, or out of sleep, which was why I was reporting 19C. Now the temp under minimal load hovers around 50-54 - which is fine.

Thats no true.
Apple just a few days ago released Mac OS X 10.6.7 and was only 475MB, and the Combo update was only 1.12GB. Mac OS X 10.6.6 brought the Mac App Store and was only 143MB.
I don't know why your updates are 4GB.
He didn't mean the Mac OS; he meant an app he bought from the App Store that was 4GB.
