Have you ever watched HGTV? They have a show on there called Design on a Dime that teaches you how to decor your house with a small budget.
This kind of reasoning works in the fashion industry too. 'Style on a Dime" Over the last few years discount designer websites have blown up. Some people frown on buying high-end designer items cheaply because the items are usually "out of season" or "last year's hotness."
Ladies, here's the rub. If you spend $1,000 on a Fendi bag, would you only carry it that year? What if you bought a pair of Manolo Blahniks for $800?? Would you only wear them once? The whole in season and out of season thing is overrated. So why not purchase an expensive item on discount. No one will know if you bought it when it first came out or not?

On overstock you can find just about anything, and rue la la has cookware, etc. The thingwith websites like ruelala, hautelook, ideeli, sheckys and giltgroup is you have to be invited by a current member, or you go on a waiting list to join. So I am a member of all the above. If any of you want to receive and invite just let me know and I will have one sent to you.
If you are not a fan of online shopping, there are stores out that that carry discount designer clothing:
