Hi Everyone!! I've finally decided to create a business card for my blog! I posted a poll about this on Independent Fashion Bloggers, and I've finally decided to do it. I attend a lot of fashion events and would really love to have something to handout to vendors, designers, and magazine editors. I would love your opinions on the following designs and wording. Here are my current options:
1. Do you think they are too wordy?
2. What are your opinions on the information?
3. Do you like the colors? I tried to stay with the same theme and colors as my blog page.
4. Do you think I should do front and back design, and put the email and link on the back??

Part-Time Job
Hello Everyone!
Well I haven't had one of these in awhile, but it's time for another update on my moves to learning more and more about Fashion. I have not stopped sewing, but for a little while I'll be taking a break, because I have picked up a part-time job at Express. I did this for many reasons, but mostly because I wanted more experience in Fashion Retail. For years I've been shopping at Express so I'll be more than happy to use my discount on their clothes! My first day of work is tomorrow night! I'll let you guys know how that goes. It will be interesting putting outfits together to go to work, and don't be surprised when most of my blogs have at least one piece from Express!

Blog Name Change Explanation
Hello Everyone,
I felt compelled to write a blog on why I changed the name of this website. Though I have researched fashion, read magazines, threw trends out the window and created my own looks for years, I realized that there is still so much I need to learn about the Fashion Industry before I really want to be known for giving advice.
Don't get me wrong, I really love all of my tips, but I'd rather my blog be all encompassing, rather than solely focusing on fashion advice. I would like to blog about my outfits, why I chose them, sales, trends, and answer questions that you guys have for me...which really isn't a change, but I didn't want to keep the "Shasie's Fashion Advice" name anymore.
Don't fret, I kept all of my previous blogs, so don't worry, your favorites are still available!
Make sure you "Favorite" my new url: http://www.live-life-in-style.blogspot.com/ and become a fan of my page on facebook!
Thanks for your support,
Shalanda

"My Goals" Update
Hey Everyone,
I know it looks as if I've been slacking on my Fashion Advice Posts. I do apologize that they have not been coming consistently. I've really been trying to figure out my next steps moving forward with this blog and my Fashion Page and my role in the Fashion world. Not only do I like providing styling advice, but I've also had an interest in making my own clothes some day. I've finally made that step to do what I've been wanting to do for a long time. It's a pretty, small, simple step, but every one gets me closer, right?
I signed up for a sewing class in my area. Sewing classes are great, because they teach you how to hem, do basic alterations, follow a pattern, etc. These are really great skills to have if you find your clothes don't fit you just right. Tired of paying a Tailor or a Seamstress $15-$30 (OR MORE) for alterations?? Learn to do them yourself. One time I bought an $11 dollar dress from Burlington Coat Factory, but spent $30 dollars having it altered. Till this day I'm still amazed that my alterations cost more than the dress itself!
Just knowing how to sew will not be enough for me, because I'd still be sewing someone else's patterns, and I want to design my own. So after the sewing class I'm taking a design and patternmaking class. I will keep all of you updated on my progress. More "clothes" blogs soon!
