HFIG Spring Fashion Show Roll Calls (2:33)

As promised I am now posting on my experience at 2 fashion shows this weekend. The first one was from the Houston Fashion Indepence Group. They featured designs from 4 designers: Alika Hall, Maria Montes, Nina Ahimba, and One Duey Kingsley. My favorite out of the 4 was Nina Ahimba. The pieces were ready-to-wear and very sexy!!

Those were some of the better pictures from the night. I have to figure out what setting to put my camera on to take better pictures at fashion shows!!

My camera was just not cooperating for pictures of the WABC Fashion Show, so I settled on taking tons of videos! Here's one picture from the end of the show that turned out ok!

Well I thought last night was the only Spring fashion show I was going to go to, but early this morning my friend texted me that she had extra tickets to Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church's 47th Annual Fashion Show starting at 11:30 this morning. Of course I jumped out of bed and got ready for the event. It was a great event! It was a luncheon and a fashion show and it was a few hours long, but I loved my outfit for it. Spring trend #3: Colorblocking...easy! I hate that the dress is wrinkly though, but that's what happens after sitting for a few hours :-/. It was ironed to perfection this morning, but I didn't have time to take the pictures before the show.

Today I was going to post the pictures from yesterday's fashion show, so I will end up doing pictures from both fashion shows in a post tomorrow! Check out my outfit from last night's fashion show too!!

As mentioned in my earlier post today, I attended a fashion show tonight. Normally when going to a fashion show, I would choose to wear some dress with fancy bag and heels, but I felt that this was a more relaxed, independent show and there wouldn't be all the "pomp and circumstance". Turns out I was right! So I decided to go to the show wearing two Spring Trends:

1. Socks with Heels
2. Bright Color Skirt

I loved the look, I felt young and girlish in it and I would definitely wear it again, over and over again!
