...they had to bring the store down worldwide?
Sometimes I wonder what Apple hires those smart people for, if it's just the morons running their daily business.
Hi,
The store has been up all morning in my country.

iLounge has a "First Look" article with photos of all models and accessories. They say that the new nanos have the Search and Smart Scroll feature of the new 5G iPod. Hopefully we with the plastic nanos won't miss out on that. I'm expecting an iPod Updater soon.

bodes well for Linux and OS X...
I wonder what MS is doing in Vista to prevent piracy? At that price I'm sure a lot of people will be tempted to pirate it.

Skunk, all that you have presented above is one interpretation based on things we know about the history of the Canaanite people. This proposition posits that the history the Bible describes is not factually based, but a reinterpretation. What I have presented above are acknowledged facts and clear inferences which are drawn from the text of the Old Testament itself. Each one of those at the very least brings into question how the religious beliefs of the Hebrews as a whole differed from those of their polytheistic contemporaries, especially in the period before 580BCE. Abraham may have made a covenant, but it was not with Jehovah, it was with El. It says so in the bible. So much of the mythology, Noah/Utnapishtim, etc., is taken directly from other sources that it really beggars belief to treat the story of the Hebrew god(s) as anything other than a continuation of previous beliefs and story-cycles.

The day that Steve Jobs tells me I have to use iTunes to purchase software for my laptop or desktop, or that I can't install what I want or how I want it on my personal computer I give him the big middle finger and switch to Linux or Windows.
I already think it's ridiculous that I have to jailbreak my iPhone every 6months or so - but if the day comes that you'll have to jailbreak your comp, thanks but no thanks. I'll give up convenience for freedom.

Yikes! Wireless electricity...I think I'll wait till they've ironed the bugs out of that one before I test it ;)
It's ok, there's no bugs. They all died from the radiation.

Maybe they will feature the Macbook Air Revision this year ;)
The Macbook Air got an event presentation in Octobre, it's not getting another event spot for what will be a spec bump. It's getting a silent update next.
Mac hardware has not really gotten any keynote time in the last few years. It's mostly been silent updates, even the Mac Mini redesign just showed up one morning.
So these guys pay $1000 to NOT see a keynote??
I'd wager the people paying 1000$ for WWDC don't do it for the keynote (hint, developers going to developer workshops). The keynote is just icing.

They seem to go after just about every niche there is. Just look at the latest news of selling generic prescription drugs for $4 for a 30 day supply. It looks again to be a hook to get people into their stores. They say it covers 300 different drugs, but in reality it is only 124 medicines but in a variety of doses. So they may end up with 12 out of those 300 being different versions of amoxicillin. Some popular drugs aren't included, like Zocor. But all the gullible masses will see is $4 PRESCRIPTIONS!!
There is also a lot of information at wallmartwatch.com.
If it causes other pharmacies to lower prices, all the better. If it causes the big name pharmaceutical labs to lower prices, that's even better. Why should people in the U.S.A. pay the majority of the cost of medication?
This is one instance where Wal-Mart isn't really hurting people, unlike the government.

I've been going thru these forums for about a year now. I find good posts and opinions but I hate these snide comments from people. Not everyone is as tech savvy as many who post here. I'm sick of scrolling past these guys that have nothing better to do than mock others.
You must hate the internet then. It runs on snark.

agree that the mono mixes are better. but leave the stereo ones alone.I hope the Beatles catalog will include both versions. For example, the mono version of Blue Jay Way was much different than the stereo version, so I'll have to get both.

Who says that they have to honor Grandfathering of Plans?
did you read the first 9 words of my post?:confused::confused:
here i'll repost it for you:
I don't know if they "legally" are required to
I was just saying, this is what they do...
Hell I even remember when the Palm Pre was released on Sprint talking with some people who had some premier type account (don't remember the name) from way back when that was not offered anymore, and even they got grandfathered in....

I REPEAT
NOTHING NEW IS ON THE BANNER AND THERE IS NOT A BANNER UNDERNEATH IT
everything that reveals a new product is covered up with a black curtian
you can even see them in the pic
they're at the tor left and middle right
You have no way of knowing that there is no new banner underneath. Typing it in caps doesn't make you any more of an insider than the rest of use using proper case.

I agree that this would be cool, but what would make it even better is enhanced iSync or other capability for third parties to take advantage and make content available. I suppose the iTMS could handle it, but the user should be able to load whatever he or she wants on it, I would think.
